So true, I happen to work at a Juvenile Correction Center. Because of use-of-force issues, the 'less' it looks like I'm doing, the better.
The same goes for anyone who has to defend themselves in a public environment. If you do a bunch of obvious 'karate' moves, witnesses are bound to notice. However, if you can move in a subtle and discrete manner, it will be much harder for others to claim that you escalated violently.
